Thought for the month of July
“The universe is under the control of a loving purpose, and that in the struggle for righteousness man has cosmic companionship (angels). Behind the harsh appearance of the world there is a benign power.” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

Angel Trumpets Newspaper
It's time to for another edition of the online newspaper Angel Trumpets.
The following article is one I find very helpful.
Make sure to smile because you have angels with you!
COMMUNICATING WITH ANGELS
(excerpted from Linda Georgian’s book “Your Guardian Angels”)
How do we communicate with angels? Easily, naturally, while you sleep, and when you’re awake. When you try, and when it’s not on your mind at all.
But, as you’ll see, angels orchestrate for our higher good, and while they can certainly be called upon in just about any situation, we may be surprised at their respond!
How do you I ask for angelic assistance? How about “Help!!” That usually works. You can think lightly, or you can concentrate on it intensely. You can say it out loud. You can shout it from the mountaintops. It can be an offhand comment or a direct request. The angels hear both. Being open to their assistance is the key. Learning to recognize their answers, which come most often in the form of gut feelings, is just as important.
You don’t have to go through any ceremonies, or do anything formal, though you may do so if you like. If you are not used to following your instincts, it may help you to follow some guidelines I offer. They’ll help increase your awareness.
COMMUNICATION IS AWARENESS
1. Be aware that you have access to your angels, and to angels in general, at all times.
2. Be aware that you can speak to them out loud, or speak to them in your mind. Either way, they will hear you.
3. Be aware that you must be specific about your requests. Angels take things literally at times. Make things very clear to them. By doing this, you will also clarify things for yourself.
4. Be aware that you should always give thanks for the angels’ eternal and continuous help. After all, it’s the polite thing to do.
5. Be aware of you reactions: that means thinking positively and having faith that the angels will help you.
6. Be aware of your state of mind: have a sense of humor. The angels certainly do. It helps, even though it may be difficult during times of tragedy to find something to chuckle about.
7. Be aware of your gut feelings, instincts, and intuition: Those are your angels talking to you!
8. Be aware of coincidence, synchronicity, serendipity, and irony: Those are brought about by angels.
9. Be aware of your openness. Be open intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to the little voice that tells you things, to your instincts, to the inner guidance system that is the angel. Angels can’t help you if you’ve shut them out.
10. Be aware of the messages. Listen, notice, and learn! You’ll begin to see patterns and guidance in your life. You’ll gain trust in yourself and therefore in your angelic guidance.
CONTACTING THE ANGELS
1. Make yourself physically comfortable: Wear loose fitting clothes, take your shoes off. Sit down or lie down in a comfortable setting.
2. Remove all distractions: noise, people, pets, phone, television.
3. Choose your sounds: soothing music, wind chimes, or silence.
4. Breathe: Take a few breathes to relax. Breathe slowly. Inhale positive feelings and light, exhale the negative.
5. Seek God first: Praise Him and thank Him for all things.
6. Lighten up: You don’t have to solemn, just relaxed.
7. Go over your list of things that you need assistance with: Assign an angel to each and thank them ahead of time.
8. Create an angel alter: Fill a special space-top of a bureau, corner of a room-with things that remind you of angels, such as ornaments, pins, cards, angel pictures, and other accessories. You can also add incense.
WHAT NOT TO DO
1. The angels don’t want you to think that they’ll do all the work for you, because they won’t. This is a partnership. They’ll do plenty, but you’ll have to do your part as well. With their guidance, you’ll instinctively know what your part is!
2. Don’t have a negative attitude or focus on greed, rage, or hatred.
3. Don’t ask for revenge.
4. Don’t worship angels. They are not God. They do not want to be worshiped, just appreciated!
5. You don’t need to ask them to be with you, they are already there.
Angels add a great deal of joy and energy to our lives. But we’re so reluctant to trust our instincts sometimes that we can up making a real mess out of things, can’t we?
Going on the assumption that our instincts are messages from the divine, we can relax and go with them. Of course, it’s not always that easy, because we question ourselves, our instincts. Making decisions is a complicated business.
Shakespeare believed: “to thine own self be true,” and we’ve often heard these statements from our mothers, too. “Just be yourself,” many a parent has preached.
But what happens when we don’t trust or follow that little voice inside?
That’s right, we usually end up in a jam.
With heightened awareness we always see the consequences of our actions, and when we keep track, we see that following our instincts, so long as they are healthy and harmless, is the best route to take.

Angel Prayer Rest Stop
Sometimes I like to change the first line to Angels of God, my guardian dears(just to call on more angels)
To whom God's love commits me here,
Ever this day be at my side,
To light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.

Etsy Shop Featurette with Kate Kiley of fallawake: celebrating the sacred in all things
I am going to be highlighting different stores and shops that specialize in healing, angelic, and spiritual products that I find lovely and would make great gifts for yourself or others.
My first is with Kate Kiley who runs her own shop on Etsy called fallawake: celebrating the sacred in all things
I happen to come across Kate Kiley's shop fallawake on Esty one day searching for a Lakshmi necklace..hers caught my eye and ever since then I am wishing to buy her entire store out! She sells the cream of the crop products that are completely Vegan and natural and you get free shipping on any order worldwide..that is a big plus in my book! She also gives 10% of her proceeds to help out different charities each month.
Kate offers Astrological Necklaces, Gambler's Luck Powder(who doesn't need some of that?), Ghosts-Be-Gone Magical Mist, Lakshmi Luck Citrine Earrings,Guardian Angel Magickal Oil..that's just a sneek peak at what she has.
The rest you will have to see for yourself.
Lisa: When did you first start making your creations and what made you decide to start selling them?
Kate: I've always been fascinated with herbs and their magickal and medicinal properties
and started mixing my own tinctures and oils as a teenager - some 30 or so yrs. ago (that really ages me, huh?) I'm also deeply interested in aromatherapy and fragrances so started making my own perfumes years ago.
I studied fine art and fashion design in college and worked for a bridal-wear company making custom-made headpieces and bridal veils before I got married. When my children were born, I quit working and used what I had learned for various art projects, making Halloween costumes, and making jewelry for myself and as gifts - mostly as just a way to save money.
Then, last year (2009), a friend mentioned a local Pagan Pride festival where she would be selling some of her own hand-made jewelry and encouraged me to do the same. I was so encouraged by the response I got there that I opened up my Etsy shop in October '09 and have been working to grow my in-home business ever since. It's been a fantastic way to explore and express my own spirituality, learn as much as possible about other's beliefs, and pass along what I've learned - something that means so much more to me than simply selling a product.
Lisa: How do your inspirations come through to you for constructing the amulets, necklaces, oils, etc.?
Kate: I try to find inspiration in everything! I'm constantly exploring - other religious practices, spiritual beliefs, cultures, ways of thinking. For example, I was inspired to make malas (rosaries/prayer beads) after a visit to a Hindu Mandir. There I bought a string of prayer beads and was shown how to use them in prayer and meditation. It really spoke to me and I could definitely see how such a practice could translate into other spiritual pursuits.
I also find inspiration at museums, libraries, book stores, and in inward explorations such as meditations and dreams. I believe that the Spiritual Realm is always speaking to us and giving us signs - we just have to look for them and recognize them for what they are. I try to use what the Universal Source is showing me in whatever I create as a way of passing along the information I've received!
Lisa: What does the process include when you are inventing each new piece from its beginning til its finished?
Kate: That all depends on what I'm crafting. If we're talking about an oil or spell, I have to check my calendar to see what the moon phase is and also what sign the moon is in. Then there are different spells for each day as well. For example, Fridays are best for love spells, esp. on a New Moon in Scorpio. I try to get as many of the auspicious alignments as possible. For jewelry and other items, the timing isn't as critical because the magick involved in them is more of a general nature.
Then I have to do a great deal of research in various sources on the ingredients or components I want to use for the particular item and gather them together. Each herb, resin, charm, or gemstone is chosen for a specific purpose. During the actual crafting of the item, I use intuition to guide me to the amounts of each botanical ingredient or the design layout of the item and visualize the intent of the finished product the entire time. It becomes a ritual unto itself. Afterwards, I charge the item with the light of positive energy.
Lisa: The angel products you sell in your shop are among my absolute favorite and are just beautiful. You have a Guardian Angel Protection Talisman, Guardian Angel Magickal Oil, Och Angel of Crystal Alchemy Earrings,Haniel Angel of Friday Earrings, and Zelphon Angel of Awareness Earrings.
You clearly love the angelic kingdom and I wanted to know what do the angels mean to you?
Kate: You're a dear, Lisa!! You're right, I do love the Angelic Realm! I truly believe they've helped me out of a jam more times than I can count. As a teenager, there were many times I really put my angels to the test!
I took them for granted and didn't think much of them until I went to a psychic in a group setting a few years ago (one of those "Crossing Over" kinds of things) where I was told I had a huge, brilliantly glowing angel standing behind me. That blew my mind! Until then, I didn't know much about angels and always assumed they were somewhere distant from us - watching but always far away. I did a lot of reading after that (particularly Sylvia Browne) and totally connected to the idea that we each have our own personal guardian angels following us all the time.
Since then, I've done a number of guided meditations and met some of my own angels. I can't describe the experience of speaking to your angels, seeing their faces, hearing their names, and feeling the total, unconditional love they feel for you! That's a feeling I'd love to share with the rest of the world!
Lisa: What types of ingredients and elements do you work with?
Kate: I try to use as many natural elements in whatever I'm creating as possible. I feel that natural gemstones, botanicals, resins, wooden/seed beads, etc. all have a life energy of their own that resonates in the finished piece. All my oils use organic, food-grade base oils and 100% pure essential oils as well as organic botanicals. I try to use homegrown herbs as much as possible too because I feel that positive energy surrounding the plant as it is grown and harvested is carried through to the finished product. I think to attract peace and harmony and positive energy into your life, you need to surround yourself with things that are full of positive natural "Source" energy produced in a positive environment that is cruelty and conflict free and as natural as possible.
Lisa: Do you make yourself any of your own concoctions and use them?
Kate: Of course! Originally it was out of need - isn't it amazing how poverty can teach you things and push you into something that has a positive effect on your life? I always made my own soaps, bath oils, magickal spells, jewelry, costumes, etc. and still do!
Lisa: You can tell by your positive feedback that your customers are not only satisfied with your service and merchandise, but you as a person. What do they mean to you?
Kate: Wow! That's hard to put into words! I don't like to think of the people that have bought things from me as customers - they're more like friends, kindred spirits, fellow Oneironauts (travellers in the Dream World) and explorers in the Spiritual Realm. They are AMAZING and absolute proof that there is hope for humanity. I have learned so much from each one of them and feel so privileged to have met them. The connections I have made with these people will last a lifetime!
Lisa: What is your favorite part about having your own shop?
Kate: The people like you, Lisa! It's all about exploring this world and the other dimensions, learning what you can, and passing along the information! There is so much out there that we haven't yet figured out, so many connections to be made, so many threads of thought that make up the tapestry of who we are, where we came from, and where we're going. Meeting a few open-minded old souls to share the adventure with is truly the best part!

How Angels Communicate
As servants of God or a loving Higher Power, angels are always sending messages to remind us that we’re not alone. Angels aren’t allowed to overwhelm us with their presence though, because that might frighten us and turn us away from angelic communication. Instead, they communicate in subtle ways, using signs, symbols, and daily events to convey messages which will be uniquely meaningful to us.
Angelic Language
Here are some of the ways that angels can communicate with us:
* Through special songs that you suddenly tune into on the radio
* With surprising shapes or rainbows in the clouds
* In little sparkles of golden, silvery, or purple light that you might see at the edges of your physical vision
* Through special dreams of castles, rivers, sunlit corridors and other bright places
* Through animals that put in a sudden appearance. (My angels often speak to me through bunnies! Bunnies always appear for me when I need encouragement – even on crowded city streets.)
* With moments of synchronicity or “cosmic coincidences” where something or someone comes your way in a strange but wonderful fashion, providing a message that you alone need to hear. Pay attention to what is coming towards you, because synchronicities are everywhere. Noticing bumper stickers on the car driving in front of you is an especially fun way to receive messages from your angels.
Guidelines to Specific Angels
Here are the names of four angels who can assist you with specific areas of your life. These archangels pack a powerful punch and can really get more positive energy flowing for you!
Michael the Archangel and Protector of Spiritual Warriors
Michael is considered one of the greatest of all angels. He is known as Saint Michael in the Catholic Church, a powerful spiritual helper who delivers souls to heaven after death. But in his day-to-day service to humanity he also functions as a powerful protector. He can give you feelings of strength and courage and help you overcome your fears. He is also powerful against negative people or situations, helping you transmute darkness. Call on him when you need protection, strength, or personal stamina.
Gabriel the Archangel, Herald of Divine Truth
Gabriel is another powerful angel who is honored in three of the world’s great faiths - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. He specializes in providing uplifting messages of personal revelation. He is said to have appeared to Mary to tell her that she would bear the Son of God. Mohammed said that Gabriel dictated the text of the Koran to him. Gabriel is an inspirational angel, one who can help you find solutions to problems. You have to stop letting your ego interfere, though, in order for Gabriel’s shining light to penetrate. Our ego sometimes wants to struggle with things, but it’s our soul or our Higher Self which really has all of the answers! In your prayers, ask Gabriel to bring solutions that will create the greatest good for everyone. You may not be looking at your situation from this perspective, but Gabriel will always help you to find the right answers.
Raphael the Archangel, Powerful Angel of Healing
Another very powerful archangel is Raphael. Raphael is the angel of healing, concerned not only with helping people to heal from their physical ailments but also with curing them of their spiritual disharmony. Since all bodily illnesses originate at the spiritual level, it is important to understand what is going on with your soul if you want to truly get well. Raphael can help you understand what issues and energy blockages have been building up for you on the spiritual level so you can work through these things and find more complete healing. He is wonderful at helping with pain relief, whether you’re suffering from physical or emotional pain. Raphael is also a special advisor to people who are trying to save the environment and preserve the sanctity of Mother Earth. He is concerned with her healing as well as the advancement of humanity’s consciousness.
Haniel the Archangel, Tranformation and Reality Shift Angel
Haniel is an amazing angel who for some reason isn’t as well-known to most people as his counterparts Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. Haniel is an archangel who has tremendous power to exorcise negative elements from a person’s life. Perhaps there is a manipulative person who has been draining you of vital energy. Call upon Haniel and ask him to shield you from this person. He’ll help you bypass this person’s chaotic energy. Or maybe there are negative patterns in your thinking, self-destructive programs you want to get rid of. Haniel can clear these energy patterns from your mental body. Haniel’s presence can be felt as calming, serene energy which helps you clear out mental and emotional debris. He boosts you with good feelings and brings good cheer to homes, apartments, or hospitals which seem to have a thick, dense energy clinging to them.
Final Thoughts About the Angels
The angels are always reminding us that we are never, ever alone. Your prayers are always drawing angels to you. If you ask for assistance with any area of your life, the appropriate angel will immediately shine a light in that direction, enhancing your spiritual understanding and emotional clarity. Nothing is better than a warm hug from your angels!
